<p>Department:</p> <p>Academic Affairs</p> <p>Status:</p> <p>Full-Time</p> <p>Posted: 09/29/25</p> <p>Start Date:</p> <p>January 2, 2026</p> <p>APPLY NOW</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Learning Resources Coordinator provides leadership and support for student success by coordinating key learning resources and delivering individualized academic support. This position supervises Career Services, Tutoring, and Testing Center operations, while also contributing to the library's public services, reference, and information literacy instruction. The Learning Resources Coordinator develops academic coaching and learning support services designed to improve student persistence and achievement, while fostering a positive, user-centered approach to service across the Learning Resources Division.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Student Success & Learning Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide one-on-one and small group academic coaching sessions, focusing on skills such as time management, study strategies, note-taking, and test preparation. </li><li>Develop workshops, handouts, and digital resources that promote learning strategies, academic resilience, and information literacy. </li><li>Collaborate with faculty and advisors to identify and support students experiencing academic challenges. </li><li>Coordinate peer tutoring, recruit student tutors, and supervise their training and ongoing development. </li><li>Support and schedule Testing Center operations, including assisting students with exam reservations. </li></ul> <p>Career Services</p> <ul> <li>Direct and manage the college's Career Services, assisting students, alumni, faculty, and employers with career education, career identification, and employment opportunities. </li><li>Develop and maintain external partnerships to expand career pathways. Coordinate with academic departments to ensure services meet program-specific needs. </li><li>Prepare assessment reports for Career Services and track graduates' employment outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Library & Public Services</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate circulation and reference services within the library. Supervise student worker staff, including scheduling, training, and evaluation. </li><li>Provide research support through reference, database instruction, and research strategy development. </li><li>Deliver library orientations, information literacy instruction, and collaborate with faculty to align instruction with learning objectives. </li><li>Oversee interlibrary loan requests and collaborate with student library clerk to fulfill borrowing and lending needs. </li><li>Contribute to collection development, including evaluation, resource selection, and weeding. </li><li>Assist with maintenance of the library website. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Participate in planning, assessment, and evaluation of Learning Resources Division services. </li><li>Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student learning outcomes. </li><li>Maintain awareness of emerging trends in learning support, library science, and student success initiatives. </li><li>In the absence of the Director, assume responsibility for library operations. </li><li>Serve on college committees as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Library Science, or related field preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of learning strategies, study skills development, and student success models. </li><li>Experience working in academic support, tutoring, advising, or library services. </li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Proficiency with library systems, databases, and instructional technologies </li><li>Ability to pass background check. </li><li>All applicants must support the Christian identity of the College and demonstrate a mature faith and Christian lifestyle. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in higher education. • Familiarity with early-alert systems, academic coaching models, or student success technologies. • Experience designing and delivering workshops, presentations, or digital learning tools. </li></ul> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Qualified applicants should complete the online application and submit the following:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Current résumé</p> </li><li> <p>Official transcripts</p> </li><li> <p>Statement of faith</p> </li></ol> <p>Applications should be sent to HR@cbc.edu.
