<p>What We Offer</p> <p>Novant Health Pediatrics South Ballantyne is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)!</p> <p>Work Schedule: Four days per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; occasional Saturdays from 9:00am-11:00am</p> <p>The role of the CMA is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Work alongside the provider to support patient care </li><li>Room patients and prepare them for examinations </li><li>Obtain and record vital signs </li><li>Perform clinical tests as required </li><li>Administer vaccines and medications per protocol </li><li>Assist with inventory management and ordering medical supplies </li><li>Support audit preparation and compliance activities </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.</p> </li><li> <p>Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.
