<p>Akkodis is seeking a Java Lead for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. You will lead the design of AWS-based microservices and serverless architectures, while driving CI/CD automation and cloud best practices.</p> <p>Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Java Lead job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based web applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.</p> </li><li> <p>Architect and implement cloud-native and serverless solutions leveraging API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EKS, and Fargate.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and develop RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance across distributed systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy for automated deployments and testing.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using CloudWatch and X-Ray, ensuring high availability and reliability.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement and enforce AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, backup, and disaster recovery strategies using S3 and EBS.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development, with proven technical leadership in enterprise environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Deep expertise in advanced Java concepts and building cloud-native and serverless applications on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and DynamoDB.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and AWS security best practices, including CodePipeline, CloudFormation, IAM, and monitoring tools.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
