<p>Job Title: Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join our patient care team as a Medical Assistant where you will play a vital role in assisting providers and nursing staff with daily office duties. In this rewarding position, you will contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform specific duties that support patient care. </li><li>Conduct vital sign measurements. </li><li>Handle client intake processes efficiently. </li><li>Room patients in a timely manner. </li><li>Accurately document patient information in electronic health records. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) diploma. </li><li>1+ years of experience in a medical assisting role, although entry-level candidates will be considered. </li><li>Proficiency in patient care and medical assisting tasks. </li><li>Experience with electronic health records and triage procedures. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in cardiology is a plus. </li><li>Ability to perform EKG and stress testing. </li><li>Sharpness and efficiency in managing patient flow, with the ability to room patients every 20 minutes. </li><li>Specialty experience is preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is based in a fast-paced cardiology office that is family-oriented yet can be very busy at times. Main locations include Glastonbury, Avon, and West Hartford, with additional sites in Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Norwich.
