If you have a degree and relevant work experience in English, Communication, Public Speaking, Speech, etc. these teaching opportunities may be a fit for you. We are looking for Primary Instructors to further train and develop our students for careers in allied health positions. This is a part-time position, evening only, in 5 week sessions.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity for you to make some extra part-time income while helping to improve the lives of others by teaching them the skills they need for a rewarding medical career.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Faculty members work under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from the Program Chair and Academic Administration. In this role, you will instruct students the standardized Ross curriculum, review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support externship activities as applicable, and perform related work as required.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Classroom Instruction</p> <ul> <li>Delivers course work as it applies to the appropriate Ross curriculum </li><li>Utilizes contemporary teaching strategies and practices; such as instructional resources through guest speakers, field trips, videos, PowerPoint presentations, Instructors Resources, lecture, and curriculum documents which enhance the learning process </li><li>Accurately records student daily attendance </li><li>Primary Instructors hold conferences with students on an as-needed basis </li><li>Follows and enforces Student Guidelines </li><li>Maintains classroom in good physical order, manages program supplies and equipment in good repair </li><li>Enters classroom at designated time with all necessary materials. Begins and ends class at scheduled times and follows scheduled student break times </li><li>Monitors class retention rates and actively participates to promote student retention in order to exceed accreditation standard of 80% </li></ul> <p>Outside of Class Time</p> <ul> <li>Review standard Ross curriculum and prepares for class instruction </li><li>Correct student assignments and tests; reviews result and returns graded coursework promptly </li><li>Primary Instructors accurately record grades, successful completion of proficiencies and attendance by entering information in campus management software </li><li>Cooperates with lab schedules, maintains weekly office hour(s) and may proctor Saturday makeup sessions if asked by Campus Director or Assistant Campus Director of Education. Completes curriculum training in advance of each Module instruction </li><li>Completion of a minimum of one pre-approved professional development workshop, seminar or course related to the teaching discipline of the Instructor every fiscal year </li><li>Attends two Ross Education LLC in-services every fiscal year </li><li>Attends formal and informal faculty/staff meetings </li><li>BLS instructor certification may be required </li><li>Informs Assistant Campus Director of Education or Campus Director immediately of unsatisfactory academic student progress, discipline or attitude problems, and occurrences that warrant discussion </li><li>Under direction of Campus Director, and/or Assistant Campus Director of Education, provides additional support to students on alerts, warnings and/or probations </li><li>Attends quarterly faculty meetings to discuss classroom concerns, student issues, retention and placement, curriculum development and assessment, survey results and other topics as appropriate </li><li>Instructors may be required to participate in Campus Externship Seminars as directed by the Campus Director or Assistant Campus Director of Education </li><li>Participates in school events regarding student retention and graduate placement </li><li>Advises Assistant Campus Director of Education of any equipment repair/replacement needs or supplies issues </li><li>Classes are in person at the Hopkinsville Campus </li></ul> <p>Performs related work as required</p>
