<p>The work we do matters!</p> <p>Hiring Agency:</p> <p>Military - Agency 31</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Lincoln, NE</p> <p>Hiring Rate:</p> <p>$19.779</p> <p>Job Posting:</p> <p>JR2025-00016462 Budget Officer I (Open)</p> <p>Applications No Longer Accepted On (If no date is displayed, job is posted as open until closed):</p> <p>05-24-2025</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Location: Construction and Facilities Management Office, 2433 NW 24th Street, Lincoln NE</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>Compiles fiscal and accounting data to use in budget evaluations, cost analyses, and budget projections.</p> <p>Monitors expenditures to ensure proper controls are maintained in accordance with established regulations and policies.</p> <p>Audits financial statements and reports to verify calculations and identify discrepancies.</p> <p>Recommends/suggests budget proposals for the organization to assist management in planning and administering funds.</p> <p>Consults with and advises management on budget matters to exchange information, to identify the characteristics and impact of budget problems, and to formulate possible solutions.</p> <p>Writes and disseminates instructions, manuals, and procedures relating to budgeting and reporting to facilitate employee production.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Starting hourly pay rate is $19.779. Effective 7/1/2025 the hourly pay rate will be $20.224.</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Experience in performing budgeting, auditing, accounting, or clerical/technical accounting functions OR post high school coursework/training in budgeting, auditing, accounting, finance, business or public administration.</p> <p>Other: Background/motor vehicle request check will be required.
