<p>Description</p> <p>The Assistant Branch Manager will assist the Branch Manager in overseeing the efficient operation of the facility and is responsible for daily, weekly, monthly tasks which include:</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the daily activity of the sales floor, cover counter sales, warehouse, and point of sale system </li><li>Manage branch in absence of the Branch Manager </li><li>Problem solving and conflict management decisions with customers to ensure each customer has a positive experience </li><li>Train and coach employees on product and process knowledge </li><li>Input in hiring and terminations of staff </li><li>Partner with Branch Manager for employee related issues </li><li>Assist Branch Manager with performance management to meet and exceed goals for the branch, and developing creative plans to increase branch sales </li><li>Approve timecards </li><li>Monitor hours and OT if necessary </li><li>Ensure branch compliance </li><li>Complete COD report, cash report, cycle counts, API orders, exceptions, nonstock orders/returns, and warranties </li><li>Conduct weekly store evaluations with employees to determine any action necessary to maintain or elevate branch standards of cleanliness, productivity, organization, and customer service </li><li>Research billing and order inquiries for customers, placing and expediting orders, maintain supplies inventory </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>1-2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a retail space. </li><li>Mechanically inclined; 1-2 years industry experience (plumbing, heating, HVAC and/or Hydronics) strongly preferred. </li><li>Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office suite, Outlook. </li><li>Experience with CSD (Cloud Suite Distribution) - ERP background is helpful. </li><li>Forklift certified or the ability to get certified. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and follow through skills. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>401(k) matching</p> <p>Profit sharing</p> <p>Health insurance</p> <p>Vision insurance</p> <p>Dental insurance</p> <p>Life insurance</p> <p>Short and long-term disability</p> <p>Paid time off</p> <p>Employee discount</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday through Friday</p> <p>No nights and weekends</p>
