<p>Description</p> <p>Title: Massage Therapist</p> <p>Department: Spa</p> <p>Reports to: Spa Director</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-exempt</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Massage Therapist is responsible for client satisfaction by providing competent and professional service and massage therapy at The Spa at acac.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs professional massage therapy ensuring acac's standards of excellence are upheld </li><li>Gathers complete and accurate information on new spa patrons </li><li>Keeps comprehensive and professional notes of services and treatments provided to members </li><li>Restocks and dispenses supplies and products to members and guest </li><li>Consistently reviews and updates knowledge of Spa services, products and offerings </li><li>Ensures that treatment room and work space are clean and neat at all times, performing proper clean up and restocking at the end of each service </li><li>Follows all current sanitation standards for service implements </li><li>Ensures that assigned shifts are covered before taking leave </li><li>As needed or requested, assist the spa receptionist </li><li>Ensures ongoing familiarity with acac programs </li><li>During any down-time on shift, promote the acac spa and services throughout the club </li><li>Training provided by acac; maintain current certification for the duration of your employment </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Prior massage therapy experience </li><li>Superior customer service skills </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Highly dependable and prompt </li><li>Willing to help both within and outside of the parameters of this position </li><li>Must to able to work the weekend shifts </li><li>Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekend and holidays </li><li>Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification a plus </li><li>Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend the duration of the shift </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a valid Virginia Massage Therapy License </li><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, and reach throughout a shift. </li><li>Must be able to use hands and fingers. </li></ul> <p>acac Company Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook </li><li>Park in team member-designated areas </li><li>Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and clean </li><li>Assist with Service Day </li><li>Assist with acac programs, special events, or activities outside your department </li><li>Promptly return messages </li><li>Exhibit a positive attitude at all times </li><li>Deliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times </li></ul>
