<p>Position Title: Facility Admissions Specialist</p> <p>Department: Intake</p> <p>Reports to Facility Location: Facility Admissions Director</p> <p>Supervises: N/A</p> <p>Hours: Nights and weekends</p> <p>Entry Level Qualifications:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED. College classes preferred. Knowledge of chemical dependency desired. Knowledge of marketing and customer service desired. Computer data entry skills desired. Must be able to interact with the professional community. Must have reliable transportation. Must be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Must be able to bond in a professional manner with potential patients and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to see 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear clearly (hearing aide accepted).</p> </li><li> <p>Must have valid driver's license and a safe driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Must maintain regular attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, patients, families and perspective patients and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>If recovering, two (2) years of continuous verifiable sobriety.</p> </li></ol> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <p>Confirm admission appointments with potential patient or family. Appropriately bond with incoming admissions. Facilitate admissions for incoming patient ensuring high level Customer Service is provided in a timely manner. Appropriately document contact with client and/or family, conduct follow up phone calls for admissions that are late or did not show for their appointment and complete Facility Admission Specialist trainings. Interact with newly admitted patients to evaluate their level of motivation to continue treatment and when necessary initiate necessary steps to block patients from leaving treatment prematurely.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Greet incoming admissions within 5 minutes of arrival notification.</p> </li><li> <p>Present neatly dressed and in a professional manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate the ability to obtain and accurately document patient information.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a working knowledge of chemical dependency signs and symptoms.</p> </li><li> <p>Post admissions follow up with clients to offer support and encouragement.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct requested family contacts when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and overcome patient objections that could result in patient choosing to discharge prior to their scheduled discharge date.</p> </li></ol> <p>3/16</p> <p>Nights and weekends</p>
