Come work at a company that values its employees and invests in their success.</p> <p>EOSYS is growing and currently hiring a Panel Build Estimator to join our talented team!</p> <p>The Panel Build Estimator supports the manufacturing business unit by estimating panel build and writing proposals, to include labor, material, and equipment requirements.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Quoting, Estimating, and Material RFP</p> <ul> <li>Estimates and quotes labor, material, and equipment requirements for panel builds </li><li>Analyzes panel drawings, bill of material, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for panel build projects. </li><li>Develops bill of materials for concept panel quotes (no drawings or bill of materials). Completes initial project order Requests for Purchase (RFP) </li><li>Manage multiple estimation projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Coordination with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Attending pre-bid meetings and site visits. </li><li>Drives cost reduction initiatives, confers and negotiates with vendors to identify and provide alternate sources of materials for ongoing cost savings, faster part availability, or improved quality. Responsible for confirming item availability and delivery schedule to meet project requirements </li><li>Analyze project performance by maintaining records of estimated and actual costs and perform analysis to identify areas for improvement in future estimates. Utilize and refine estimating tools to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy </li><li>Contribute to Engineering and MFG continuous improvement initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance project profitability </li><li>Maintains knowledge of the latest regulations in panel fabrication including UL508A, NFPA 79, and NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) </li></ul> <p>Project Setup</p> <ul> <li>Initiate project setup for manufacturing projects including MFG setup shipments. MFG setup shipments do not apply to Square D projects </li><li>Review and initiate initial orders for bills of materials for all projects. Notify Engineering or customers of any changes that need to be made </li><li>Review and approve project setups that include manufacturing labor or material (Budget tab) </li><li>Review WBS to confirm it matches quote or complete it if it is not filled in (i.e. Labor, Non-labor) </li><li>Monitor Schneider Electric's Panel Shop Queue for new projects. Use tools developed to set up the projects in the EOSYS system </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>B.S./B.E. degree in engineering and have a minimum of 5 years of project delivery experience within the system integration/factory automation field. Or 10 years of job experience and past success could be considered in lieu of an engineering degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Should have a basic understanding of all company functions and departments and be considered a company leader, recognized by project team(s) as a Manufacturing technical subject matter expert </li><li>Participates in and leads meetings as required </li><li>Written and oral communication skills in the English language are essential. Effective ability to communicate with co-management, co-workers, vendors and customers is required </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. </li><li>Ability to calculate standard electrical formulas, such as Ohm's law </li><li>Ability to apply deductive reasoning to complex issues and arrive at timely decisions in the best interest of the organization </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the estimating process </li><li>Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in information </li><li>Ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, business software/applications and various other industry related software and hardware as required to complete business functions </li><li>Ability to effectively navigate network file structures and define, apply and train others in best practices in creating, editing and saving files and documents </li><li>Drives company vehicles, including company delivery truck. Must be physically capable of operating company vehicles and equipment safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. </li><li>Possesses advanced training in areas such as project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, etc. </li><li>Ability to distinguish between the full range of colors in the color spectrum to work with electrical wires and equipment </li><li>Read and interpret graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids </li><li>Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Travel may be required at times. </li></ul>
