<p>Assistant Director of Literacy - LCCC Donley Center</p> <p>Date Position is Open</p> <p>4/1/2026</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>$46,197 to $60,089</p> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for directing grant-funded literacy programs as assigned by the director. Supervising staff assigned to these programs. Directly responsible to the Director of Literacy</p> <p>This position is reviewed annually for continuation and is strictly contingent upon the receipt of necessary funding sources and contractual agreements.</p> <ul> <li>Counsels students as-needed, recommending modifications in instruction where </li><li>Aids teachers in meeting special needs of Prescribes appropriate methods and resources. </li><li>Diagnoses and recommends students to progress from one education program to </li><li>Monitors standardized testing for literacy </li><li>Maintains curriculum library and oversees program </li><li>Hires, evaluates and guides professional development of </li><li>Analyzes costs/revenues, makes recommendations for literacy and certain job training programs and presents reports for decision making. </li><li>Accountable for all records / audit files and quality of program </li><li>Manages literacy budgets for each line of grant </li><li>Cooperates with other administrators in developing new courses of instruction and grant </li><li>Diagnoses community training needs and develops </li><li>Leads continuous improvement process for </li><li>Analyzes and uses data to adjust program structure and allocation of </li><li>Partners with internal and external departments/organizations to provide opportunities for literacy students and </li><li>Supports instructional and student success coach staff in job </li><li>Performs other duties as may be </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Required</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited </li></ul> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting) </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>Two years' experience in working with nontraditional </li><li>Two years' experience in program </li></ul> <p>Knowledge. Skills. Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and to work cooperatively in stressful </li><li>Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree from an accredited </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish) </li></ul> <p>This position is contingent upon grant funding.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
