Please visit our website at www.naii.com/careers to see more about what makes us a unique place to work.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The engineering assembler is a senior assembler with broad experience in high-complexity mechanical and electrical</p> <p>assembly. You work independently on all production types, supports engineering change implementation, lead training</p> <p>efforts, and act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and quality.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the go-to technical expert for mechanical and electrical assembly issues. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering teams on new designs, prototypes, and process improvements. </li><li>Take lead on high-mix, low-volume complex builds and non-standard assemblies. </li><li>Lead root cause analysis of assembly-related defects and develop corrective actions. </li><li>Perform advanced soldering (e.g., fine pitch, coaxial cable termination, PCB rework). </li><li>Champion adherence to IPC standards and conduct internal audits or checks if certified. </li><li>Coordinate training and onboarding for Levels 1 and 2; may support performance evaluations. </li><li>Suggest and implement process or tool improvements that reduce build times or improve quality. </li><li>Maintain compliance and drive best practices in ESD, safety, and ergonomic practices. </li><li>Participate in root cause analysis of assembly-related defects and work with engineering to develop corrective </li><li>actions. </li><li>Perform advanced soldering and complex reworks (e.g., fine pitch, PCB rework, test cables). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>5+ years experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly roles. </li><li>Must be fluent in written English. </li><li>IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus. </li></ul> <p>North Atlantic Industries offer comprehensive and competitive packages including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>Company-provided Life and AD&D Insurance </li><li>Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance </li><li>Long-term Disability Insurance </li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>Tax-deferred 401K with company matching contributions </li><li>Vacation, holidays, sick </li><li>Employee tuition reimbursement </li><li>Business casual dress environment </li><li>Schedule: M-F Day Shift </li></ul> <p>North Atlantic Industries (NAI) is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all persons in all facets of employment.
