<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC has a contingent opening for a Senior Data Scientist supporting a large highly visible Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic Data Center and Cloud Hosting Service Program. Ideal candidates are people who thrive in a highly challenging fully integrated government and private sector program team. Candidates must be capable of multitasking, possess highly refined communication skills and who are capable of presenting information in a variety of forums for the program team to include integrated product team level and above.</p> <p>Work is performed on site in North Charleston, SC. This program is contingent upon award news in March/April 2025.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Clearance: Active Secret clearance</p> <p>Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree</p> <p>Required Experience: Ten (10) years with a Master's degree and fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor's degree of notable experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts; have experience with frequent scripting language use, such as Python and R and using packages commonly used in data science applications or advanced analytics; and have notable experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives. Individual shall have experience applying Structured Query Language (SQL), Non Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) Building, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines, Web Application Servers, or Search Index; experience using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests, or Antigravity; experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts; experience applying statistical and operations research methods and tools; and experience employing spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.</p> <p>Specific Experience: Individual shall have notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel.</p> <p>Required Certifications:</p> <p>At least one (1) of the following: depending on tasking, individual shall have industry certification such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).</p> <p>Plus: individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable. Additionally, depending on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II or III (position-based).</p> <p>Depending on tasking, individual shall have industry certification such as: CompTIA Cloud Essentials/Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA)/Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)/CompTIA A+/CompTIA Security+/EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA)/Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH)/Certified Apache Hadoop Developer (HCAHD) (Hortonworks)/Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)/Certified Cloud Professional (CCP) (Cloudera)/Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)/Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE)/Private Cloud/Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) (Cloudera)</p> <p>SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.</p> <p>Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
