We are seeking six (6) Weather Forecasters to support real-time combat weather operations for the 25th ATKG at Shaw AFB, SC.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Weather Forecaster I will provide continuous, real-time weather forecasting support for global Department of Defense missions. This role requires situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to rapidly changing operational and environmental conditions in a fast-paced combat operations environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide 24/7 weather forecasting support to ongoing USAF combat operations, including during mission planning and execution</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver timely weather analyses and tailored meteorological products using AFW-WEBS, Mark IV-B, and Microsoft Office</p> </li><li> <p>Support and train Government personnel on weather forecasting procedures, tailored to unit-specific operational requirements and AORs</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze terrain, weather system patterns, and centralized weather products to deliver precise and actionable forecasts</p> </li><li> <p>Present weather briefings and reports for aircrews, mission planners, and senior military leaders (e.g., WAR Briefs, O&I Briefs)</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and forecast hazardous weather phenomena such as lightning, icing, and turbulence using tools like CAVOK and other tactical software</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in shift rotations to maintain 24/7 coverage, ensuring uninterrupted support for overseas contingency operations</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Top Secret Clearance</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified weather forecaster supporting DoD operations</p> </li><li> <p>High familiarity with:</p> </li><li> <p>AFW-WEBS</p> </li><li> <p>Mark IV-B</p> </li><li> <p>Microsoft Office Suite</p> </li><li> <p>Strong operational understanding of weather forecasting processes and mission-critical decision-making</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to work in high-tempo environments and perform effectively in rotating shift schedules</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior support to Air Force, Joint, or Coalition aviation units</p> </li><li> <p>Experience conducting O&I or WAR briefings for military aircrews or leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of CAVOK or other tactical weather software</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join ITSC?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support high-impact missions vital to U.S. national security</p> </li><li> <p>Work with a collaborative, elite team of professionals</p> </li><li> <p>Competitive compensation and full benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Opportunity to contribute directly to real-world defense operations</p> </li></ul> <p>ITSC Secure Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
