<p>GFT is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team! This role follows a hybrid working schedule with regular attendance required in the office.</p> <p>GFT's Strategic Services</p> <p>The GFT Strategic Services team, which includes Human Resources, Legal,?Accounting & Finance, Office Operations, IT Services and Marketing & Communications, are essential for managing and supporting the company's global operations.?Strategic Services is part of a broader strategy to transform the business and improve efficiency. The support of this amazing team of professionals is the backbone of our ability to deliver infrastructure consulting and design services.</p> <p>What you'll be challenged to do:As an Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions that drive organizational objectives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team!</p> <p>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop clear and engaging end-to-end learning and performance-focused solutions aligned to strategic business objectives. </li><li>Apply adult learning theory, industry best practices, and evidence-based instructional design strategies to learning program and training material development. </li><li>Conduct needs assessment and training needs analysis to develop strategic guidance and design learning solutions. </li><li>Act as internal consultant and trusted advisor to program stakeholders, adeptly maneuvering through the instructional design process from analysis through evaluation. </li><li>Ensure alignment and collaboration amongst stakeholders by effectively developing, communicating, and negotiating buy-in to work plans, timelines, and scope. </li><li>Draft, revise, and edit instructional materials such as course outlines, templates, style guides, video and audio scripts, instructor guides, participant guides, learning assessments, and course evaluations. </li><li>Serve as backup support for learning management system (LMS) administration. </li></ul> <p>What you will bring to our firm:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field </li><li>3-5 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of training materials for multiple delivery methods (instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, web-based training development, blended learning solutions). </li><li>Knowledge of and practical experience with the application of adult learning theory, instructional methodologies, technology-enabled design, and learning methods. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint to develop training templates, visual aids, and job aids. </li><li>Experience with Articulate Storyline or other web-based training development tools. </li><li>Experience with Adobe Premiere or other video development tools. </li><li>Experience applying graphic design principles and best practices to training development. </li><li>Superior communication and written language skills, including grammar. </li><li>Ability to diplomatically influence stakeholders to adopt best practices and evidenced-based approaches to instructional design. </li><li>Experience with LMS administration. </li><li>Knowledge of accessibility principles / practices and the implications for design and development. </li></ul> <p>What we prefer you bring:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working within the engineering or professional services industry </li><li>Experience with Cornerstone LMS </li></ul> <p>Compensation:The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
