<p>Overview</p> <p>The Product Manager is responsible for the development and support of the assigned product and services. They will plan and execute the product plan and road-map for existing and new products under their responsibility. This is a strategic position working closely with customers, market stakeholders, Business Development, Ratings, Training, and the Executive team. The Product Manager is a subject matter expert and the ultimate objective is to deliver outstanding value to our customers and ensure their continued success. Understanding the company's purpose, mission and vision will be essential.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Translate business and corporate strategy into product strategy and plans. Create and execute product and road-maps for the entire product line• Own the product road-map including prioritization of enhancements, backlogs and releases• Drive direction throughout AM Best to get products to market including planning, product launches, and discontinuations• Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements and issues• Write business case and recommendations• Create and propose product initiatives, marketing and advertising plan• Manage commercial success by owning the business case for assigned products and services• Create business requirements and use cases• Determine market segmentation and create customer profiling• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as development, quality assurance, marketing, business development, and support teams• Participate in product demonstrations for clients and client-facing teams• Regularly review the competitive landscape and solicit client feedback for continuous product improvement• Evaluate new technology and incorporate it into existing products or creating new products• Support the decision-making process with customer, market, competitive, and usage analysis related to the assigned products </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business. Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or Accounting preferred• 5+ years of Product Management/Development experience is required. Prior Product Management experience within the Insurance, Risk Management, or Financial industry is preferred• Insurance, Risk Management or Financial Services market knowledge is needed including market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape, market trends, and client workflows </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Product Management experience capable of engaging cross functional teams with strong leadership, conflict resolution, communication, and critical thinking skills • Proven track record managing and developing products and understanding digital needs for businesses or enterprises in the insurance industry or financial services • Ability to assess and understand latest technologies or emerging trends for on-line, mobile, API, data feeds, AI /Gen AI, and cloud development • Key skills include data analytics, design expertise, customer insight skills, user experience knowledge, lean development with Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) • Ability to influence, negotiate and build trust; must be a strong communicator commanding sufficient subject matter expertise • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presentation and documentation, e.g. strategic plans, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, training, business/financial analysis and reporting • Effectively manage and adjust tasks, plans and timelines based on evolving priorities, market conditions and unforeseen obstacles </li></ul>
