<p>Long Description</p> <p>General Characteristics and purpose</p> <p>Performs maintenance and repair services on production machines according to the maintenance plan or on request of production. This position may cover electrical, mechanical, civil and/or other specialties but is supported by Maintenance engineers, supervisors or outside contractors as needed.</p> <p>Representative Activities</p> <ul> <li>Utilizes hand tools and common shop machinery. </li><li>Is involved in the installation and/or calibration of mechanical equipment and machinery, which may involve CNC equipment, hydraulics, electro-mechanical gears and other machinery. </li><li>Is involved in the diagnoses of mechanical faults on production equipment and machinery. </li><li>Registers all maintenance related activities into systems. </li><li>May also be involved in the maintenance of buildings, production sites or other facilities. </li><li>May also be called Maintenance Operator, Employee Maintenance, Maintenance worker, Electrician, Mechanic, Electromechanic, Fitter, Tool Sharpener, … </li><li>Typically reports to a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager. </li></ul> <p>Scope Variants</p> <p>Autonomy</p> <p>Works within well-defined and standardized procedures and practices and is supervised on progress and results by manager.
