<p>Job Title Radiography Faculty 9-Months Rank Faculty 9-month Job Description</p> <p>Teaching Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work a 35-hour workweek, which includes eight office hours per week. </li><li>Maintain posted student and on-campus hours to meet the needs of the student. </li><li>Provide clinical site visits to students, which may include some evening. </li><li>Teach a course load appropriate for assigned field or program. </li><li>Teaching loads may include online instruction, high school, hybrid or traditional delivery methods. </li><li>Provide equitable course content and student learning outcomes in all courses regardless of location or delivery method. </li><li>Be available to students via email, phone, or personal conferences. </li><li>Maintain proficiency with all classroom equipment both on and off campus. Keep equipment secure. </li><li>Provide a safe, positive, and clean learning environment. </li><li>Remain current on teaching methods with technology and enhance instructional delivery and learning outcomes. </li><li>Demonstrate proficiency of the College Learning Management System to deliver online instruction and enhance on campus and off campus instruction through all courses. </li><li>Make all courses taught accessible to all students. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters to academic programs each semester according to established deadlines. </li><li>Promote completion of end-of-course student evaluations. </li></ul> <p>Curriculum Development</p> <ul> <li>Develop course syllabi according to NCCCS (North Carolina Community College System) course descriptions and College standards and adhere to course syllabus. </li><li>Respond in a timely fashion to information requests from colleagues, divisions, the College and all academic program needs. </li><li>Allow and encourage participation in other College-required surveys (e.g. CCSSE: Community College Student Survey of Engagement). </li><li>Assist with the College's library collection development by selecting, evaluating, and weeding learning resources in each appropriate discipline as requested. </li><li>Adherence to the College's Policies and Procedures Manual. </li></ul> <p>Assessment and Evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Participate in program and course assessments to ensure academic quality and continuous improvement. </li><li>Analyze assessment data to inform teaching practices and curriculum development. </li><li>Complete end-of-course assessments, formative (on-going) assessments and incorporate adjustments with teaching methods in order to meet learning outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Participate in 10 hours or professional development activities each academic year and College-required training. </li><li>Record professional development as part of the annual review. </li><li>Stay current with developments in the field through research, conferences, and networking. </li></ul> <p>Student Engagement and Support</p> <ul> <li>Participate in student recruitment, advisement, advisory committee meetings, curriculum development, and registration. </li><li>Assist with job placement or possible study assignments, depending upon department need. </li><li>Participate in all graduation ceremonies. </li><li>Participate in the marketing, recruitment and retention of students, faculty, and staff. </li><li>Responsible for collaborating with industry and 4-year educational partners. </li><li>Develop and maintain productive relationships with agencies and organizations within the community/industry which are pertinent to departmental programs and to perspective graduates. </li></ul> <p>College and Community Engagement</p> <ul> <li>Participate in required meetings and events. </li><li>Participate in SkillsUSA competitions relevant to the respective program. </li><li>Establish and cultivate effective relationships with community agencies, employers, and educational partners. </li><li>Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others in a collegial environment. </li><li>Serve on college committees and participate in college-wide initiatives. </li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. </li></ul> <p>Miscellaneous</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as assigned and related assignments incident to the work described herein. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Radiography from a regionally accredited institution. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in the clinical field as a radiographer. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in higher education. </li><li>Strong commitment to student success and academic excellence. </li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide exceptional customer service with people internal and external to the institution. </li><li>Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college. </li><li>Flexible and adapts to change. </li><li>Ability to multi-task with multiple departments and activities of others. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with instructional technology, preferably Blackboard, and online teaching is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range Based on experience.
