<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Middle School Stipend/Curriculum Leader</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Briarcliff Middle School</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Curriculum Leader Job Description: Math</p> <ul> <li> <p>Be a positive role model, leader, and learner.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have sound curriculum knowledge, including the scope and sequence of all middle school grades. The Curriculum Leader should model an effective pedagogy, enthusiasm, innovation, and a willingness to accept challenges positively.</p> </li><li> <p>Be an effective communicator and collaborator with other teachers, school leaders, parents, and students.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively participate in monthly planning and professional learning with other curriculum leaders, building leadership, and instructional coach to build content knowledge and pedagogy, and share this learning with departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate department meetings during and after school around curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with building leadership to develop faculty meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify a Problem-of-Practice among the department and engage the department in a process to reflect and refine a lesson or unit of study. This must include organizing classroom visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Guide your department in a goal setting process, which includes vertical alignment and multi-year initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze data and trends to identify strengths and deficits, and work with departments to develop target lesson plans, units of study, and Tier I interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>State assessment data.</p> </li><li> <p>Measure of Academic Progress (MAPS).</p> </li><li> <p>Formative assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with building leadership to schedule standardized assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee, in collaboration with building leadership, the budget for respective departments. This may include allotting funds for student resources and materials and professional learning opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume other responsibilities as determined by the administration.</p> </li><li> <p>As a stipend position, work may need to be completed outside of the contractual hours.</p> </li></ul>
