<p>Posting: Athletic Director, Grades 7-12, for the 2025 - '26 school year.</p> <p>Description: The Madison-Plains Local School District (MPLSD) desires to employ an individual licensed or qualified in the state of Ohio to serve as an athletic director. The individual needs to have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in all facets of his/her work in the past and a willingness to maintain that distinction in the future. Located in Madison County, the Madison-Plains Local School District is approximately 45 minutes southwest of Columbus, Ohio, a short drive off of Interstate 71.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current documentation of clear criminal history via FBI/BCI background check </li><li>Valid Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit (PASP) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience as an Ohio public school district athletic director or assistant athletic director </li><li>National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Certification </li><li>Bachelor's or master's degree in athletic administration </li><li>Previous varsity coaching experience </li><li>Valid Ohio teacher licensure </li><li>First aid, CPR, AED certified </li><li>Appropriate administrative licensure in the state of Ohio </li><li>Demonstrated ethics and integrity in the administration of the athletic department </li><li>Demonstrated sound fiscal management of all athletic department event and activity revenues </li><li>Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating and resolving issues and concerns </li><li>Demonstrated ability to seek win-win solutions and/or successfully mediate issues and concerns </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build appropriate, professional, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues </li><li>Demonstrated belief that athletics are a vehicle to assist in preparing student-athletes for life </li><li>Demonstrated advocacy for academic achievement and progress of students </li><li>Demonstrated ability to promote positive sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity </li><li>Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire student athletes through positive reinforcement, energy, and enthusiasm </li><li>Demonstrated ability to comply with all OHSAA and MPLSD guidelines </li><li>Demonstrated successful event management abilities </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate with all building-level administrators, teachers, coaches, parents, and student-athletes, both in written and spoken communication </li><li>Be community and civic minded </li><li>Build positive relationships with parents, booster groups, and other constituencies </li><li>Advocate for post season awards and post-graduation opportunities for our student athletes </li><li>Build the athletic program through cooperation and communication with community programs and coordination with the junior high program </li><li>Build positive relationships with opposing schools </li><li>Demonstrated ability to use data to make decisions </li><li>Demonstrated ability to promote rigor and support students in attaining standards </li><li>Demonstrated ability to promote and celebrate the successes of District teams, student-athletes, and the athletic department in various media platforms (i.e., print, on-line, etc.) </li><li>Other skills and abilities that can help Madison-Plains Local Schools on its journey toward excellence </li></ul>
