<p>ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has immediate openings for part-time am and part-time pm Banquet Captains for ASM Global Knoxville: Knoxville Convention Center and World's Fair Exhibition Hall. These positions report to the Food & Beverage Managers. Responsible for direct supervision of all concession's activity in adherence with food and work safety codes as well as upholding the standards and duties of the department. Position will lead banquet teams in the organization, set-up, serving, administrative, and closing procedures that are assigned always ensuring positive guest experience. This position is involved with all functions serving any banquet items or duties.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain communication with the Client, Food & Beverage Managers, Catering Sales Manager and Event Managers during events. </li><li>Be on duty prior to the start of event, in uniform, well groomed, and ready to go to work. </li><li>Able to read and interpret BEO's & CEO's </li><li>Fulfilling the service per each Concessions Event Orders (CEO) </li><li>This position oversees and is accountable for all concessions activity to include set-up, cash handling, and proper rotation of product and production procedures. </li><li>Responsible for inventory: rotation, organization, and storage of product, and to ensure that all product counts are verified before, during, and after event daily. </li><li>Must be able to perform all duties of each concession position as well as all Banquet positions. </li><li>Supports goal for Health Department score of 90 or higher. </li><li>Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. </li><li>When applicable will be required to be creative in designing and creating décor and display for merchandising of product </li><li>Accountable for customer service and resolving customer complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; analyzes and resolves all guests and associate problems with the assistance and approval of supervisor. </li><li>Understands and can describe menu offerings, packaging, and pricing to the team and guests. </li><li>Maintaining all concessions equipment cleanliness and preventative maintenance </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lead, communicate, work alongside with as well as and delegate staff effectively and positively </li><li>Attention to detail and consistency of procedures and processes </li><li>Oversees all concessions and banquet processes </li><li>Must be able to collaborate professionally with peers in other departments </li><li>Ensure that team members are ready to work, well groomed, in full uniform, mentally alert, and knowledgeable regarding policies, procedures, and banquet food and beverage menu items </li><li>Training and coaching per shift of concession workers, cashiers, and other banquet staff. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
