<p>Overview</p> <p>Thompson Facilities Services at Lincoln University is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Day Porter to support the cleanliness, appearance, and overall maintenance of facilities at Lincoln University.</p> <p>The Day Porter plays a critical role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by performing routine cleaning, light maintenance, and event support duties throughout the day. By combining innovative technology with industry-leading service, we remain connected to our clients while continuously enhancing the quality, efficiency, and performance of the facilities we serve.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and common areas throughout the day </li><li>Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal </li><li>Monitor and restock restroom and facility supplies as needed </li><li>Respond quickly to spills, accidents, and urgent cleaning requests </li><li>Assist with event setup and breakdown for campus meetings and activities </li><li>Conduct light maintenance duties and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly </li><li>Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in an organized manner </li><li>Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA standards </li><li>Provide professional and courteous customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous porter, custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills </li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday </li></ul> <p>Physical requirements</p> <ul> <li>Flexible schedule availability, including possible evenings or weekends </li><li>bility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift </li><li>Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting during daily cleaning activities </li><li>Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds regularly </li><li>Ability to operate standard custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively </li><li>Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions as needed </li><li>Must be able to respond quickly to spills, cleaning requests, and facility support needs across campus </li><li>Ability to climb stairs and move throughout multiple buildings during the workday </li></ul>
