If you believe you possess these important traits, please consider a career with the Cleveland Guardians.</p> <p>The Guardians are looking for service minded teammates, who are committed to working together to help us create amazing memories for fans, each other and all visitors to Progressive Field.</p> <p>PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist in driving sales and overseeing the general operations of designated retail locations within Progressive Field, all while actively promoting a positive image of the Cleveland Guardians in every fan interaction.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:</p> <p>Selling/Fan Satisfaction</p> <ul> <li>Deliver outstanding customer service by employing the START and HEART service model, incorporating suggestive selling techniques </li><li>Uphold the "Image of Champions" to maximize sales potential and ensure fan satisfaction </li><li>Strive towards achieving daily sales targets at both an individual and location level </li><li>Maintain a consistently positive attitude in the workplace, aligning with the best interests of the business </li><li>Engage in training sessions focused on fan-centric customer service while actively promoting a positive image of the Cleveland Guardians organization </li></ul> <p>Merchandising</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Supervisor to ensure that the location adheres to company visual merchandising standards </li><li>Coordinate with the Supervisor to organize backstock and storage rooms according to company guidelines. </li><li>Communicate merchandise needs and ideas to management and buying team </li></ul> <p>Operations/Loss Prevention</p> <ul> <li>Support the daily maintenance and smooth operation of assigned location </li><li>Participate in training sessions to proficiently operate POS systems </li><li>Adhere to all loss prevention standards established by the Retail management team to safeguard company assets </li><li>Promptly report any violations of loss prevention policies to the Retail management team </li><li>Partner with the Supervisor to ensure the timely completion of shipments, accurate cycle counts, and successful execution of all business initiatives for the assigned location </li><li>Actively participates in all communication channels regarding policies, procedures, and other relevant information </li><li>Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all standards and the ability to manage the location in the absence of the Supervisor </li><li>Assume additional responsibilities as directed by Retail management team </li></ul> <p>ROLE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Previous sales, customer service, and or register experience preferred </li><li>Capability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift </li><li>Must be at least 16 years old </li><li>Demonstrated ability to adhere to all organizational Health & Safety protocols </li></ul> <p>AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Available to work a minimum of 55 out of 81 home games (65%) during the months of April through October </li><li>Available to work 100% of Jewel Events and Post Season Games </li><li>Work entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post events, and rain delays </li><li>Work long and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and all holidays during the baseball season </li><li>Attend all required trainings and daily briefings, as directed </li></ul> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates the ability to read, speak, comprehend, and communicate effectively in order to perform job duties and interact with coworkers. </li><li>Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners, teammates, and the general public. </li><li>Ability to build robust, professional relationships with teammates by demonstrating interpersonal skills, approachability, and a collaborative spirit contributing to a positive, respectful work environment. </li><li>Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the role as outlined in the job description, which may include extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, or navigating a multilevel ballpark. </li><li>Adapts quickly and effectively to a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse work environment. </li><li>Ability to act according to the organizational values and service excellence at all times. </li><li>Willingness to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends. </li><li>Willingness to adhere to all Major League Baseball and Club policies. </li></ul> <p>As a proud pillar of the Cleveland community, the Cleveland Guardians are dedicated to building a team that embodies the heart and spirit of our city.
