<p>The Assistant Director of Registration and Records supports the overall functions of the student registration, records, associated reporting and graduation processes with a focus on effective and efficient operations through development and utilization of existing and new technologies to improve daily operations, office processes and frontline services. Responsible for the certification of veteran benefits and all necessary college requirements associated with the benefits process. Supervises registration staff in the absence of the Director</p> <p>Serve as the primary point of contact for veteran benefit certification as the campus SCO. Meet with various faculty, staff, and students regarding registration and records. Act as the key campus resource regarding transfer credit articulation, evaluation, and complete all transfer credit and advanced standing evaluations. Support the overall management of the student Banner records system. Interact with outside organizations (i.e. Clearinghouse, VA and other campus' Registrar and academic staff) as needed to support relationship, reporting and compliance requirements.</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the campus SCO to certify veterans to the VA and maintain their paperwork to provide them the educational benefits they are entitled. Attend workshops, online and in person, to remain up to date on VA changes and certifications. </li><li>Manage the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership MOU and associated activities on behalf of the college </li><li>Evaluate transfer and advanced standing credit through partnership with division chairs and faculty to ensure appropriate assessment and documentation. </li><li>Process course substitutions/campus degree requirement waivers. </li><li>Evaluate pending graduation rosters, perform graduation clearance, and coordinate the mailing of diplomas. </li><li>Coordinate and submit National Student Clearinghouse reporting and error resolution. </li><li>Support SUNY SIRIS error resolution and data review as needed. </li><li>Manage the SUNY Cross Registration process for the College including approvals, registration review and communication with campus stakeholders. </li><li>Assist with special population records and registration process including; ECCA/PTECH, international programs, etc. </li><li>Manage the Parchment electronic transcript system including communication with campus stakeholders regarding the transcript process. </li><li>Assist the Director with the management and maintenance of the Degree Works system. </li><li>Support the development of effective and efficient operations with utilization of technology to improve office operations and frontline support including documentation of processes. </li><li>Serve on college wide committees and support campus wide initiatives representing the Office of Records and Registration. </li><li>Acts in the absence of the Director of Registration and Records. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the President. </li></ul> <p>Qualified candidates will have strong problem solving ability, technical expertise, and have a commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and quality. Ability to work independently. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining organization and focus. Strong technical skills and related experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and other computer applications.</p> <p>Experience with student information systems, Ellucian Banner, Degree Works, and community college experience preferred.</p> <p>Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.</p> <p>Years of Experience</p> <p>3 - 5 years higher education experience. College administrative experience preferred.</p> <p>Working Condition and Physical Requirements</p> <p>Office environment. Occasional lifting of 5lb-10lb</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$59,887-$67,374</p> <p>The selected candidate's salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials.
