<p>Parent Ambassador (3 Positions) JobID: 694</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Part-Time</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/22/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Office of the Mayor</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open until filled.</p> <p>  </p> <p>PARENT AMBASSADOR (3 Positions)</p> <p>Early Childhood Program</p> <p>Office of Mayor, School Readiness Division</p> <p>Summary: Works in conjunction with the Bristol Early Childhood Liaison (currently School Readiness Liaison), the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator and the Bristol Early Childhood Collaborative (BECC) (currently School Readiness Council) and is responsible for engaging with parents and guardians to ensure their perspectives and feedback are included in family-centered programming, community outreach, and supporting broader community planning and partnerships.</p> <p>Represent Bristol in attendance at regional and statewide meetings, training and workshops. Partner with staff to plan, organize, and lead co-designed workshops, forums and community events that support family education, early childhood development, and awareness of resources. Recruit parents to participate in BECC and committee meetings. Conduct parent surveys to gather input and feedback, and actively connect others to the mission and work. Assist in the development and implementation of outreach strategies. Serve as the "Parent Voice" in BECC and committee meetings. Play a critical role in a data-driven needs assessment and community plan of the Collaborative by contributing to the vision, aligning shared values, fostering partnerships, and helping monitor progress toward common goals. The position is contingent upon grant funding.</p> <p>Qualifications: High School Diploma (or GED). Requires to be a parent or caregiver of young children and a Bristol, CT resident. Experience conducting family and community outreach or a willingness to learn. Comfortable working with diverse populations and marginalized communities. Prefer knowledge about community resources, previous Parent Leadership training experience or past leadership roles, and bilingual ability.</p> <p>License(s) and/or Certification: Requires Valid Connecticut Driver's License</p> <p>Work Schedule: Maximum of 10 hours per month, with a 2 Year term, part-time, non-benefited position.</p> <p>Wages: $25.00/hr.</p> <p>SUBMIT COMPLETED ONLINE APPLICATION:</p> <p>www.bristolct.gov</p> <p>Deadline: Open until filled.</p> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p>
