<p>The Kaufman Dolowich Chicago office-recognized by U.S. News as one of the "Best Companies to Work For - Law Firms"-is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our growing Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated insurance coverage matters alongside highly respected practitioners representing national, regional, and international insurance carriers across a broad range of coverage lines.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution </li><li>Interpret insurance policies and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and disclaimer letters </li><li>Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials </li><li>Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic advice and regular case updates </li><li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents </li><li>Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups to develop innovative, client-focused solutions </li></ul> <p>Why KD?</p> <ul> <li>Sophisticated and impactful insurance coverage work </li><li>Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong mentorship </li><li>Uncapped opportunities for career advancement </li><li>Direct client interaction and hands-on experience </li><li>Robust discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation experience </li><li>Experience in the areas of professional liability, Directors & Officers (D&O), and/or financial institutions coverage preferred </li><li>JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials </li><li>Admission to practice in Illinois required; Indiana admission is a plus </li><li>Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills </li><li>Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>Base Salary Range</p> <p>$130,000 - $200,000</p> <p>Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary is one component of Kaufman Dolowich's Total Rewards package, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program and comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any protected status under applicable law.
