<p>Job Description</p> <p>Product Developer - R&D</p> <p>An Opportunity you Do-Nut want to miss!</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>This position works with a team of R&D professionals to provide research and development services for company's donut and cake plants. This role may include direct communication with customers (peer to peer) during product development, but will predominantly involve collaboration with other internal departments of the company. Individual will have a great opportunity to learn, adapt and grow with the organization.</p> <p>What FGF Offers:</p> <ul> <li>FGF believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training, unleashing your potential </li><li>Competitive Compensation, Health & Welfare Benefits including Vision & Dental and flexible options at competitive premiums </li><li>401k matching program </li><li>Discount program - Restaurants, gyms, shopping, etc. </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage projects entailing new product development, renovation, productivity and business continuity initiatives. </li><li>Lead commercialization of products and ensure post launch quality of products is maintained and/or improved. </li><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure any change in regards to Bill of Materials, Line Standards, and Formulations etc. is managed flawlessly through established procedures. </li><li>Learn and adhere to company's innovative Product Lifecycle Management program; as well learn and utilize other technical tools as required for the role. </li><li>Ensure that technical knowledge of the baking industry is continually upgraded with emphasis being placed on processes, products and ingredients </li><li>Adhere to plant safety policies and communicate any safety issues to the appropriate personnel. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2 - 4 years of experience in bakery industry, but any other CPG industry experience will also be considered. </li><li>Bachelor of Science (Food Science, Chemistry, Biological or related) is preferred, but equivalent amount of experience within bakery industry would be considered. </li><li>Experience with commercializing products on new and existing manufacturing lines is desirable. </li><li>Creative, go-getter and collaborative. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). </li><li>Flexibility to adapt to ever changing dynamics of the industry, as well as the organization which strives for continuous improvement of its products and processes. </li><li>Infectious enthusiasm and commitment to adapt to organization's mission of becoming World's Greatest Baker. </li></ul> <p>Work environment and expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Required to work in Laboratory, Production floor and Office/desk. </li><li>Normally day time working hours, but occasionally required to work in off-shifts and/or weekends </li><li>Up to 25% travel within plants in North America </li></ul> <p>What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?</p> <p>Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
