<p>The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a BH/DS Clinician II who will be working with adults diagnosed with Developmental Disabilities (DD). This position is responsible for conducting a comprehensive functional assessment, identifying all specific developmental strengths and needs, behavioral management needs, and the need for services regardless of availability. Candidate must meet QDDP requirements.</p> <p>And here's the exciting part - the selected candidate will qualify for a $4,000 hiring bonus!</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding the operation of an ICF/IID facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with House Managers and nursing staff to ensure that all services in areas, such as active treatment, behavioral and medical, are completed according to procedures and in compliance with State Licensure, Human Rights, and ICF/IID regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and chair the inter-disciplinary team for each assigned resident; gathers appropriate assessment information and develops goals and objectives that can be consistently implemented by both day and residential programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that each individual's medical-protective equipment and adaptive devices are in working order.</p> </li><li> <p>Show computer proficiency in Microsoft applications and use of the electronic health record.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in staff meetings to provide training on all client programs and revisions to plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct meetings on a regular basis to keep staff informed on important issues, including but not limited to training on all resident programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor all services delivered to ICF/IID residents to ensure consistency of service, regardless of environment, and implement changes as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist supervisors to maintain a safe and healthy physical environment for clients and staff</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain communication with residents, advocates, guardians, and inter-disciplinary team members, and act as social work designee for the facility.</p> </li></ul> <p>The City offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental and life insurance, retirement, and savings plans, maternity/paternity and parental leave, holidays and paid leave.</p> <p>Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original full-time employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.</p> <ul> <li> <p>$1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.</p> </li><li> <p>$1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".</p> </li><li> <p>$1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".</p> </li></ul>
