Our top performers are focused on building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and are driven by data and student outcomes.</p> <p>What are the major job responsibilities?</p> <p>The GSRP Lead Teacher is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the GSRP classroom including planning and executing a program of activities that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of preschool children through the High Scope curriculum.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with school personnel, parents, various community agencies and Early Childhood Specialists for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcome and developing solutions and planning curriculum. </li><li>Collect, analyze, and prepare data for diagnosis of learning disorders, developing remediation plans, and/or evaluating student progress. and reporting to the school, district, state, and federal agencies as necessary </li><li>Direct staff and volunteers to maximize their efficiency and meeting work requirements.. </li><li>Further personal education via staff development, college courses, etc. for the purpose of staying current with the latest and best practices, and learning new theories and technology. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all information for the purpose of protection of students, staff, parents, and the district. </li><li>Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and an optimal learning environment. </li><li>Work with the Associate Teacher to provide child and parent/family support through home visits, Parent-Teacher conferences and other activities and resources. </li><li>Participates in various meetings for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information. </li><li>Prepare teaching materials and related reports (e.g. attendance, anecdotal records, etc.) for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and documenting student progress. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree Early Childhood or Child Development </li><li>Valid State of Michigan Teacher Certification with an Early Childhood Endorsement.
