<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Salary Range: $110000.00 - $135000.00 Salary/year</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Director of Enterprise Applications leads the strategy, development, integration, and support of the university's administrative and mission-critical systems. While currently supporting a PeopleSoft ERP environment, this ERP-agnostic role will be required to focus on leading and executing ERP migrations in the future, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring smooth transitions across platforms. The director manages a team of developers and database administrators and oversees a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications and integrations including Slate, TouchNet, Adaptive, Parchment, and many others.</p> <p>This role is also responsible for the full lifecycle management of ERP environments including DEV, TEST (UAT), and PROD, with responsibilities such as environment refreshes, release coordination, and supporting robust testing and validation processes to ensure stable and accurate deployments. The director ensures system security, compliance, upgrades, and reliability while advancing initiatives in data integrity, analytics, and enterprise reporting. With strong expertise in SQL, data warehousing, and analytics, the director drives the evolution of the university's data infrastructure to support institutional decision-making.</p> <p>Additionally, the director will be a critical part of data governance efforts, establishing standards and practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems. The role also provides technical leadership and mentorship, promotes cross-system integration, and ensures all enterprise applications align with the university's strategic goals.</p> <p>To promote strong ERP product adoption, the director will also lead the design and execution of a comprehensive user training program tailored to diverse campus stakeholders. This includes developing training materials, coordinating hands-on workshops, facilitating change management initiatives, and ensuring ongoing support resources are available. The training program will play a pivotal role in increasing system utilization, user confidence, and overall operational efficiency.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>Enterprise Application Strategy & Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Lead the planning and execution of enterprise application initiatives aligned with institutional goals. </li><li>Serve as primary liaison for administrative systems strategy across departments. </li><li>Develop and enforce standards for application lifecycle management and integrations. </li><li>Ensure systems scalability, reliability, and user-centered design. </li></ul> <p>ERP & Integration Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee configuration and support of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Financials. </li><li>Manage upgrades, patches, and customizations for ERP modules. </li><li>Coordinate secure integrations with third-party systems (Paycom, Slate, Touchnet, Adaptive, Parchment, and others). </li><li>Support system interoperability through APIs, extract processes, and interface monitoring. </li></ul> <p>Staff Leadership and Development</p> <ul> <li>Supervise programmers and database administrators. </li><li>Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback. </li><li>Ensure cross-training, backup coverage, and knowledge documentation. </li><li>Assign project work and balance resource allocations across team. </li><li>Coordinate institutional response to cybersecurity incidents and major outages, serving as the primary escalation point and ensuring timely resolution, stakeholder communication, and post-incident analysis. </li></ul> <p>Security, Compliance, Quality Control and Training</p> <ul> <li>Manage administration of access control and enforce role-based security in PeopleSoft and related systems. </li><li>Conduct periodic audits of user permissions and application security. </li><li>Establish QA and testing procedures for all customizations and system changes. </li><li>Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external audit standards. </li><li>Ensures users are trained on current and new ERP functionalities to maximize the adoption of the product </li></ul> <p>Research & Special Projects</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate emerging tools and recommend improvements to current system architecture. </li><li>Lead or support projects involving automation, cloud adoption, or new software rollouts </li><li>Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by IT leadership, contributing technical expertise and project management support as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>About Iona University/EEO language</p> <p>Founded in 1940, Iona University is a master's-granting private, Catholic, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
