<p>Agri-STEM Teacher</p> <p>Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools</p> <p>At Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools (ARLCS), we prepare scholars to think critically, solve creatively, collaborate authentically, and activate their hopes and dreams. Our Agri-STEM program blends agriculture, science, technology, and sustainability to empower scholars with the analytical, interpersonal, and professional skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.</p> <p>We are seeking an Agri-STEM Teacher who is passionate about hands-on learning, environmental stewardship, and scholar empowerment. This educator will design engaging instruction, build real-world experiences, and foster a learning environment where scholars grow academically, socially, and professionally.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>The Agri-STEM Teacher will play a critical role in cultivating curiosity and confidence in our scholars. Responsibilities include:</p> <p>Instruction & Scholar Learning</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and deliver a rigorous, relevant Agri-STEM curriculum aligned to ARLCS goals and state standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports individualized, small-group, and experiential learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Design engaging lessons that connect agriculture, science, and sustainability concepts to real-world applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide instruction in the use of agricultural tools, equipment, technology, and industry-aligned techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Offer hands-on learning experiences such as fieldwork, labs, and project-based learning.</p> </li></ul> <p>Data-Driven Practice & Compliance</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitor scholar progress through ongoing assessments and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including scholars receiving special education services.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records for grades, attendance, learning activities, and required documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Uphold ARLCS policies, classroom culture expectations, and behavior standards that create a productive learning environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Community Engagement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with colleagues to embed Agri-STEM concepts across the curriculum and participate actively in PLCs and campus committees.</p> </li><li> <p>Build strong partnerships with families and maintain open communication regarding scholar progress and expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage with local agricultural and STEM partners to enhance learning opportunities for scholars.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with agricultural trends, technologies, and instructional best practices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Organize instructional materials, safety protocols, and classroom resources effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Support schoolwide initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or administrative team.</p> </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Understanding of effective teaching practices, including differentiated instruction and data-informed decision-making.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of agricultural science, sustainability, and Agri-STEM instructional approaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance scholar learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with scholars, families, and team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to continuous improvement, self-reflection, and professional growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively and maintain cooperative relationships across the school community.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Certification</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education or related field (required).</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Arkansas teaching certification in Agriculture Education (preferred).</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior successful teaching experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in agricultural, STEM, or hands-on project-based environments is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join ARLCS?</p> <p>At ARLCS, we engage, embrace, and empower every scholar, every voice, every day.
