<p>COMPUTER TECHNICIAN - FY 2025-2026 JobID: 4098</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>District and School Support Positions - Non-Cert/Computer Technician</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/6/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>James Williams Center</p> <p>(High-Needs School)</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TITLE: Computer Technician CLASSIFICATION: Non-Certified</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>DEPARTMENT:</p> <p>Technology</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>{Cares Act Funding}</p> <p>$58,827-$69,907</p> <p>WORK YEAR:</p> <p>260 Days</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Technology/Media</p> <p>DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Computer Technician's role is to provide technical leadership and support to the schools of East St. Louis District 189.</p> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Computer Competent with 2 years' experience </li><li>Associate Degree from Community College or Technical College </li><li>Other qualifications as the Director of Technology/Media finds appropriate </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Job Functions)</p> <ul> <li>Distribute equipment to appropriate staff, as required </li><li>Assemble computer equipment, as needed </li><li>Assist with ordering supplies for classroom computers and printers in building classrooms </li><li>Distribute computer supplies and software when Media Driver is absent </li><li>Assist in ordering network materials and software </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of staff development programs for respective buildings </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair computers district-wide, as appropriate </li><li>Maintain information and record of malfunctioning computers and repairs </li><li>Install software programs and train teachers, as appropriate </li><li>Help organize and conduct technology related workshops and training sessions, as appropriate </li><li>Report to the Director of Technology/Media computer or software problems that require outside support or administrative input </li><li>Maintain a positive attitude toward job related growth and improvement </li><li>Lift seventy-five (75) pounds on occasion as necessary, appropriate, or as directed by and administrator </li><li>Maintain positive public relations with the community, staff and students </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology </li></ul>
