<p>Essential Duties</p> <ol> <li>Treats and rehabilitates athletes to return them to full activity levels. 2. Conducts pre-season screening and conditioning to prevent injuries during competitions 3. Administers first aid and emergency techniques; applies tape, bandages, braces and padding to injuries. 4. Recommends new or modified care treatment; documents treatments, referrals and injury reports. 5. Determines methods for educating both athletes and coaching staff on proper training techniques and modalities. 6. In conjunction with the team physician, determines when an athlete has completed a rehabilitation program and can resume an appropriate level of activity. 7. May perform other duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Therapy or Allied Health Sciences required and two years of experience as an Athletic Trainer at the collegiate level or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In this position, they will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals providing medical care to intercollegiate athletes and will lead the football athletic medicine team, including other athletic trainers and athletic training student interns.
