We seek differences of opinion, life experience and perspective to represent the diversity of our policyholders and achieve the best possible outcomes.</p> <p>This position requires 3 onsite days on our Lincoln, RI corporate campus as part of a hybrid work schedule.</p> <p>This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>This position will be responsible for all aspects of user research including developing and leading appropriate research strategies, analyzing and synthesizing research findings, and developing actionable insights. The UX Researcher works directly with the other UX Researchers, management and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that customer needs are translated into engaging experiences across all digital channels.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Be an advocate for our customers while balancing user needs with business goals </li><li>Identify, plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods to uncover user needs, design improvements, and new opportunities </li><li>Conduct field studies, user interviews, surveys, usability tests, A/B testing, card-sorting, expert reviews, and competitive analyses where appropriate </li><li>Create user personas, scenarios, storyboards, conceptual models, journey and experience maps, service blueprints, and other artifacts to help drive design vision and strategy </li><li>Prepare and deliver concise, creative and impactful research reports to members of project teams and other stakeholders at all levels within the organization </li><li>May be called upon to handle other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Design Field, Psychology, or related discipline </li><li>3+ years experience of proven, hands-on experience as a user researcher or design researcher </li><li>Deep and broad knowledge of human factors principles and research strategies </li><li>Storytelling and other narratives to create deep empathy for customers and their needs </li><li>Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; visual communication skills especially valued </li><li>Experience with desktop and mobile app research tools (e.g. usertesting.com, Lookback.io) for moderated and unmoderated remote usability testing </li><li>Experience with Agile development and lean user research methodologies is preferred </li><li>A portfolio demonstrating user research experience </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision coverage, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance </li><li>Paid Vacation - you will receive at least 13 vacation days in the first 12 months, amounts could be greater depending on the role.
