In addition, the successful candidate will monitor and research new and evolving sustainability regulations and will be involved in setting and documenting sustainability reporting policies.</p> <p>Principal Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists in preparing the Company's sustainability filings including local regulatory reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with project management activities related to drafting of filings and controls to support the completeness and accuracy of the reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors global sustainability regulations and coordinates with the legal department and other parties as needed for regulatory interpretation.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with business units regarding applicability of specific regulations and manages regular meetings with business units.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with sustainability policy related items, which may include any or all of the following: Research and preparation of sustainability reporting policies for newly issued or amended sustainability guidance and regulations; Maintain and enhance sustainability reporting policies; Apply policy to emissions calculations, collaborating with the corporate sustainability team; Assist in reviewing and documenting Internal Control processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with other functional areas in RGA to achieve efficient and effective practices and procedures and responds to requests from other functional areas on various inquiries. Recommends and assists in implementing process improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting/Finance required</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Accounting preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ Years accounting or auditing experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Public accounting experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Insurance auditing / accounting experience preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>CPA or progress towards CPA </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Basic Word and Intermediate Excel skills. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
