We are an equal opportunity employer; no information obtained during the recruitment/selection process is intended for any discriminatory purposes.</p> <p>Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule</p> <p>Grade: 105</p> <p>Salary: $10.01 - $16.40 Hourly (Dependent on Qualifications)</p> <p>Department: Streets</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm or 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Required to work overtime as needed for operational needs and during emergency situations.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Set up flags, signs, barricades, and cones for traffic control on projects. </li><li>Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment. </li><li>Assist in repair of driveways, sidewalks, and curb and gutters. </li><li>Assist in fabricating forms for concrete work and other related work as needed. </li><li>Perform daily pre and post trip inspections for all equipment prior to use or operation. </li><li>Promote safe working practices by always wearing proper personal protective equipment. </li><li>Apply tack oil on pavement for pothole patching and base failure/utility cut repairs and pavement level up. </li><li>Shovel and rake hot mix for pothole repairs and when working on level ups and overlays. </li><li>Broom loose aggregate on seal coat operations. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>No education required </li><li>No previous experience </li><li>Work requires the ability to follow oral instructions and read and understand written instructions </li><li>Understand simple processes and routine operation of machines, hand and power equipment </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
