<p>DevOps Engineer II</p> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>This is a hybrid opportunity*</p> <p>Monday through Friday. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.</p> <p>To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs.</p> <p>In This Role, You Will:</p> <p>Be responsible for the cloud network architecture design and implementation as well as remediating findings from cloud network security, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. Work closely and collaborate frequently with distributed cross-functional teams while optimizing our platforms and tooling for speed, usability and reliability to meet the current and future needs of our customers and the business.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to ensuring the platform aligns with PCI, OWASP, and ISO 27001 compliance by executing processes and recommending improvements. </li><li>Participate in the configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of WAF and reverse proxy infrastructure (NGINX), with occasional guidance from senior staff. </li><li>Independently administer and improve the Linux environment, including routine patching, user management, and performance monitoring. </li><li>Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage infrastructure, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and participating in peer reviews. </li><li>Collaborate with development teams to deliver solutions that are reliable, flexible, scalable, and provide low-cost ownership. </li><li>Take ownership of specific components within the CI/CD pipeline, improving automation, monitoring, and reliability. </li><li>Contribute to the design and rollout of CI/CD pipeline enhancements, including integrating new tools or refining existing stages. </li><li>Author, update, and review technical documentation related to processes and specifications. </li><li>Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, applying best practices in orchestration and basic security. </li><li>Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support. </li><li>May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. </li></ul> <p>IND1 #LI-JA2 #LI-Hybrid</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; additional, applicable years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in DevOps or relevant experience in IT and SysOps. </li><li>Solid production experience with advanced AWS networking architectures, including VPC peering, Transit Gateway, and Site-to-Site VPN, to enable secure and scalable communication across multi-account AWS environments. </li><li>Strong knowledge of AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, NAT gateways, and load balancers (ALB/NLB), with hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting secure, scalable network architectures. </li><li>Experience managing Kubernetes workloads on AWS EKS, including cluster provisioning, node group management, Helm chart deployments, and troubleshooting containerized applications in production environments. </li><li>Proficient in managing container images using AWS ECR, including secure image storage, lifecycle policies, and integration with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments. </li><li>Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar tools like GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins) with contributions to automation of testing and deployment workflows. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot skills in CI/CD workflows, including resolving common build or deployment errors and improving reliability of pipeline stages. </li><li>Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages, with practical experience in JavaScript or TypeScript for building and debugging web application components, automation tools, and CI/CD integrations; Python knowledge is a plus. </li><li>Proficient Bash scripting skills for automating infrastructure tasks, deployment workflows, and operational routines, with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable scripts; familiarity with Python is advantageous for certain automation tasks. </li><li>Strong understanding of Git, including advanced branching strategies such as Git Flow, pull request workflows, conflict resolution, and collaborative version control in fast-paced development environments. </li><li>Familiarity with rollback strategies like feature toggles or canary releases, and ability to support safe deployment practices in CI/CD environments. </li><li>Exposure to Go (Golang) for building efficient, concurrent CLI tools, infrastructure automation, or backend services. </li><li>Experience with network security controls and WAF technologies, including AWS WAF and Alert Logic WAF, to implement protections against common web threats (e.g., OWASP Top 10), configure access control policies, and monitor traffic to public-facing applications. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with vendors, service dealers, customers, and all levels of company staff. </li><li>Self-motivated to learn and asks the right questions to ensure goal achievement is met. </li><li>Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multitask, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with limited direction from management. </li><li>Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and possess strong and effective organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>AWS Solution Architect or Practitioner. </li><li>Experience as SQL/NoSQL admin. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
