<p>Overview</p> <p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>As a Sr. Software Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:</p> <ul> <li>Lead multiple software development projects for onboard acoustic systems and onshore support to include management of a small team. </li><li>Develop schedules and milestones and follow our agile processes to deliver quality on schedule. </li><li>Work in Java and C++ and include database development using Maria dB. </li><li>Work closely with engineering team to define system requirements and improve user experience. </li><li>Lead software and hardware problem troubleshooting and develop solutions to be applied to next revision. </li><li>Resolve software and hardware obsolescence issues by recommending new architecture, selecting new computer hardware components, and updating software components. </li><li>Perform unit and subsystem testing of software and hardware changes and upgrades. </li><li>Review baseline change documents for system network and interfaced subsystems, assess impact of these changes, and develop strategy to implement. </li><li>Review cybersecurity documents and tools to remain compliant with security requirements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Active Secret Clearance </li><li>At least seven (7) years of professional experience in: </li><li>A Software, IT, or Systems Engineer Project Management role </li><li>Presentation/briefing experience with strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Troubleshooting; including networking, performance, and other system troubleshooting skills </li><li>Configuration management systems such as: Azure Git </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>EEO Race/Sex/Disability Status/Veteran Status</p> <p>Options</p>
