<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The primary focus of the Maintenance Assistant is on janitorial duties throughout the facility. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees. In addition to cleaning tasks, the Maintenance Assistant will support the maintenance team in ensuring the upkeep of facility.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. </li><li>Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly. </li><li>Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures. </li><li>Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, tables, and shelves. </li><li>Refill soap, paper towels, and other supplies as needed. </li><li>Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs. </li><li>Adhere to cleaning schedules and standards to maintain a high level of cleanliness. </li><li>Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, requesting replenishment as needed. </li><li>Clean warehouse floor w/ power scrubber </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Possess and maintain a valid driver's license </li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and thoroughness </li><li>Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment </li><li>Basic computer skills </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend up to 8 hours per day </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks </li></ul> <p>Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
