<p>SUBJECT: Teacher: Early Childhood Education - Chapter 74 - South High School (Anticipated)</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: Teaching and supervision of students in the Early Childhood Education Technical Program. Instruction and planning to be in line with state frameworks,</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)</p> <ol> <li>The development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies. </li><li>The planning, developing and integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate. </li><li>Maintaining the preschool program with the teaching staff according to standards, philosophy. </li><li>Facilitate the learning of high school students through live teaching in the laboratory preschool. </li><li>Planning with the staff of the ECE program for the implementation of changes in the curriculum and or new developments in the program. </li><li>Providing input in faculty/team performance evaluation of students at the end of each marking period for grading purposes. </li><li>Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability. </li><li>Performance of other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education </li><li>MA DESE teacher license in Early Childhood Education 9-14, Chapter 74 or ability to obtain within 1 year. </li><li>MA Early Education and Care Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year. </li><li>SEI Endorsement </li><li>Three years minimum successful experience as an early childhood instructor </li><li>Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies with the curriculum frameworks. </li><li>Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of teacher competencies and the understanding of instructional techniques. </li><li>Evidence of educational leadership </li><li>Competent in computer applications </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Advanced educational preparation. </li><li>Evidence of educational leadership. </li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs. </li><li>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language. </li></ol> <p>WORK YEAR: 185 days</p> <p>SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree with the potential to increase dependent on the highest level of education.</p> <p>TO APPLY: Any person interested in this position must submit a resume, cover letter, licensure, and answer all questions on-line at https://worcesterschools.org/about/employment-opportunities</p> <p>This deadline date does not preclude further advertisement or recruitment.</p>
