Your career awaits.</p> <p>To assist in executing marketing communications programs and projects by performing a variety of clerical and support duties within the marketing area, including marketing research, conference and event preparation, social media support, and helping support the day-to-day turnaround of creative work and ensuring it is produced on time.</p> <ul> <li>Learn about Nelnet's business, product/service offering, markets and competition. </li><li>Attend team and/or stakeholder meetings as determined appropriate by supervisor. </li><li>Prepare internal and external marketing reports and meeting notes as directed by the marketing strategy team. </li><li>Assist in the development of creative and project briefs as facilitated by the marketing manager or marketing specialist. </li><li>Minor project management and team backup as directed by supervisor; i.e. support monitoring of progress of jobs by working with Traffic to track, monitor and guide all jobs for their assigned business. - Proof/review all work from the creative team prior to stakeholder approval for grammatical, technical and visual accuracy, and overall brand consistency. </li><li>Assists marketing manager or marketing specialist in compiling information, secondary research and/or other data for various projects and campaigns. </li><li>Other duties or special projects as may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION: Working toward a 4-year degree in marketing or related field.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE: Prior internships ideal</p> <p>COMPETENCIES - SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Dedicated interest in marketing </li><li>detail-oriented </li><li>good at building team relationships </li><li>organized </li><li>good at multi-tasking </li><li>quick to learn and work independently </li><li>good oral and written communication </li><li>ability to follow directions </li><li>PC skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) </li></ul> <p>Compensation range for this position is $15-$17 per hour</p> <p>Nelnet is committed to providing a welcoming and respectful workplace where all associates have the opportunity to succeed.
