<p>Joby Overview</p> <p>Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We've designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We're looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This temporary role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for technical positions.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines </li><li>Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations </li><li>Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs </li><li>Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functions </li><li>Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments </li><li>Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles </li><li>Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends </li><li>Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups </li></ul> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereof </li><li>Minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience </li><li>Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements </li><li>Experience with applicant tracking systems </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment </li><li>Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving </li></ul> <p>Desired</p> <ul> <li>Experience with iCIMS ATS system </li><li>Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries </li></ul> <p>This is a temporary role, anticipated to last 3-6 months. The target base pay for this position is $45-$60/hour.
