<p>Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist</p> <p>Department: Planning and Distribution</p> <p>Reporting To: Director of Planning</p> <p>Pay Range: Range listed is dependent upon experience</p> <p>Location: On site (Modesto, CA)</p> <p>The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day supply chain functions including production planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination. This role ensures alignment between internal teams and external partners to support seamless product flow and inventory optimization. A critical aspect of the role involves direct communication and coordination with co-manufacturers (co-mans) to ensure production timelines, material availability, and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions Include:</p> <ul> <li>Create and coordinate purchase orders /transfer orders to our co-man network for processed materials (WIP and FG) based on demand forecasts and production schedules. </li><li>Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy across warehouses, co-mans, and production systems. </li><li>Collaborate closely with co-manufacturers (co-mans) to align on production schedules, monitor performance, resolve supply issues, and ensure timely delivery of finished goods. </li><li>Support production planning activities by aligning material availability with manufacturing schedules. </li><li>Collaborate with logistics providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery. </li><li>Track supplier performance and resolve issues related to lead times, shortages, or quality concerns. </li><li>Assist in maintaining accurate supply chain data in ERP and inventory management systems. </li><li>Generate regular reports on inventory status, material usage, and supplier performance metrics. </li><li>Communicate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment. </li><li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related technical field of study preferred. </li><li>2-4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or production planning. </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Understanding of inventory control methods, procurement processes, and logistics best practices. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools. </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). </li><li>Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and co-manufacturers to improve collaboration and service levels. </li><li>Skilled in identifying supply chain issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions. </li><li>Proven ability to work effectively with teams across procurement, operations, quality, and finance. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:</p> <ul> <li>Consistent and reliable attendance </li><li>The position is in an office of a manufacturing setting and could involve sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
