<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Installs, configures, maintains, transports, and upgrades computers, printers, and other IT equipment. Installs software as required. Assists with diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems reported by users. Provides IT support by completing help desk tickets, answering IT calls and emails, and following up on extended issues to ensure all computers are functional. Maintains conference room equipment and ensure conference rooms are prepared for classes. Provides support as needed to facilitate classes. Assists with cell phone distribution, maintains custodian records, upgrades, and provides general support of all State issued cell phones. Assists with recording and tracking of hardware and/or software inventory and follows surplus procedure for equipment in accordance with policies. Provides SCDOT photo ID badges to all personnel in District 2, including taking photos, printing badges, and maintaining photo ID database. Performs other related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A high school diploma and one and one-half (1.5) years of experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.</p> <p>The physical demands for the essential functions of this position include sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies.
