<p>TITLE: Adjunct Instructor Communications</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: School of Arts, Communication and Humanities</p> <p>REPORTS TO:Chair</p> <p>EFFECTIVE DATE: January 2024</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt</p> <p>PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:</p> <p>Adjunct Instructor in Communication, with a minimum qualification of a Master's Degree (minimum 18 credit hours in Communication) in the field from an accredited institution, and commitment to teaching Communication in a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).</p> <p>SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:</p> <p>Teaching courses in Communication, especially Interpersonal Communications, as defined by the Faculty Handbook.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Duties including but not limited to: teaching 1-2 general education courses in various formats including face to face and online modes. </li></ul> <p>OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must submit a letter of application including graduate transcript(s), curriculum vitae, and three current letters of recommendation indicating teaching philosophy and adaptability to course modalities.
