You will follow pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the role. You will develop knowledge of company products and/or services and business systems to perform key job functions. We provide the opportunity for a flexible work arrangement with defined days in our downtown Cincinnati office and working from home.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>In this role, you will develop skills to review and process new and/or renewal applications (supplemental benefits, life, annuity, etc.) through, but not limited to the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Learn to verify applications for completeness. </li><li>Develop working knowledge of regulatory, technical and/or underwriting guidelines to assess applications for compliance. </li><li>Comply with company and regulatory guidelines/requirements. </li><li>Refer more complex applications to more senior level employees. </li><li>Learn to and responds to inquiries from agents and other areas (i.e., cash processing, billing, customer service, etc.). </li><li>Enter new applications into appropriate company systems in accordance to quantity and quality standards. </li><li>May assist in assembling the new policy and maintaining filing systems. </li><li>Develop working knowledge of department policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least a high school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree. </li><li>Able to work 20 hours per week during normal business hours </li></ul> <p>What to Expect</p> <ul> <li>Focused one-on-one meetings with your manager </li><li>Ongoing opportunities for development and learning </li><li>Working in a fast-paced environment in our downtown Cincinnati, OH office </li><li>A place to grow your career in a culture that inspires, rewards and develops employees </li><li>Small company feel with a focus on meeting customer's needs today and also well into the future </li></ul> <p>#LI-MM1</p> <p>Why Join Us.</p> <p>At MassMutual Ascend, our collaborative culture is key to our success.
