Reports to a Laboratory Supervisor. Responsibilities include receipt, accessioning, centrifugation and decanting of patient specimens, and communicating with clinicians at the Front Window and over the phone.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care?</p> <p>No</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Accurately enters information from requisition (including patient name, unit number, requesting area, time sample drawn, physician's name, tubes received, tests requested, general comments) into computer. </li><li>Transfers samples from racks to the centrifuges and to decant station. </li><li>Processes ADDs: locates sample, adds tests to original accession, completes ADDs form. </li><li>Acts as resource to CLA I and CLA II staff. </li><li>Handles special specimens (e.g. Sendouts). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
