<p>Utah Valley University is seeking an event staff concessions employee!</p> <p>Concessions Student Team Members must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley.</p> <p>As a Student Concession Team Member of Utah County's premier event center, you join us in:</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually. </li><li>Contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring that quality, consistency, and safety of all food and beverage services are in compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols. </li><li>Take orders. </li><li>Run registers and payment systems </li><li>Prepare and cook food and beverage items. </li><li>Clean and sanitize ,and assist with inventory. </li><li>Making lasting positive relationships, and other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities. </li><li>Current UVU Student </li><li>Knowledge of food service safety and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of food and beverage preparation </li><li>Knowledge of cash handling </li><li>Problem solving skills. </li><li>Interpersonal verbal communication and decision making skills. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal procedures. </li><li>Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time. </li><li>Ability to be attentive to, aware of, and available to assist patrons. </li><li>Ability to lift heavy items such as: cases of water, soda, stanchions, etc </li></ul>
