Oversees and manages budget of $11 million. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.</p> <p>EDUCATION Requirement:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required (Preferred Field of Study: Dietetics, Food Science, or Hospitality). Equivalent work experience will also be considered.</p> <p>Position Specific Information (if Applicable):</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Monitors compliance of Federal, State, and local school food services regulations, as well as District food services policies, at all District locations. Pursues upcoming regulatory changes and provides sustainable solutions. Directly supervises 60-100 hourly nutrition services employees at 15 school kitchen sites.</p> <p>Performs human resources activities, including interviewing/hiring, mentoring, conducting performance evaluations, and assists in the grievance processing and termination process. Works collaboratively within department and other district departments to retain quality employees.</p> <p>Collaborates as a team to develop and deliver department guidelines/benchmarks for assurance of mandatory compliance practices, as well as guidelines for implementing industry and District updates/improvements (MPLH)</p> <p>Must annually complete all USDA Mandatory Professional Standards training hours, as required by position category.</p> <p>Schedules and delivers necessary, on-going training on use of nutrition services software, safety, and/or mandatory regulatory training updates. Create and develop new training and revise existing materials to enhance employee performance.</p> <p>Assists, as a team, to prepare department long range plans in accordance with budgetary guidelines and District strategic plans, especially during growth projections.</p> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.</p> <p>Identifies needs and initiates projects to create solutions for the department.
