<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>? Care and education of a group of children as a part of a teaching team.</p> <p>? Plan and implement the curriculum in accordance with Merrillville Community School Corporation and Indiana Department of Education standards.</p> <p>? Utilize Developmentally Appropriate Effective Practices as defined by the National Association of Young Children (NAEYC) and preparedness of school readiness.</p> <p>? Be an active participant with the children, families and other members of the teaching team.</p> <p>? Present a positive and professional image.</p> <p>? Effectively participate on committees and work teams as requested.</p> <p>? Ensure solid implementation of the educational program.</p> <p>? Respond to routine inquiries or complaints.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>? Minimum of Associate's Degree in Early Childhood/Development is required.</p> <p>? Three years of classroom experience with preschoolers in a licensed child care center based program, Head Start program, or public schools preferred.</p> <p>? Spanish speaking preferred.</p> <p>? Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical/medical/legal information.</p> <p>?
